AI-native holiday planning platform 30 Sundays has raised ₹61 crore (about $6.7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures. The latest round takes the company’s total funding to about $7.5 million.
The start-up plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its product, technology and artificial intelligence teams, invest in brand building and expand into new international destinations and customer segments.
Founded by former BCG consultant Kshitij Chaudhary and ex-Apple engineer Anuj Punjani, 30 Sundays offers an AI-powered platform that helps users discover, plan and book international holidays through a conversational interface. The platform also provides an AI concierge during the trip with recommendations and customer support.
The company currently focuses on four key destinations — Bali, Vietnam, Maldives and Thailand — and recently expanded to New Zealand and Mauritius. It is preparing to launch travel offerings for Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Philippines.
According to the company, it has scaled to an annualised gross booking value (GBV) run rate of around ₹200 crore within two years while remaining profitable. It said the platform has a net promoter score (NPS) of 67 and a Google rating of 4.6.
“Planning a holiday has too long meant static PDFs, endless follow-ups and hidden mark-ups. We built 30 Sundays to make travel honest and effortless, with every customer getting a trip designed around them and complete price transparency,” said Kshitij Chaudhary, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of 30 Sundays.
The company said it has embedded AI across customer acquisition, itinerary creation, follow-ups and reservations, allowing its sales teams to operate more efficiently than traditional travel agencies while maintaining human support for customers.
“Planning a holiday abroad is one of the most emotional purchases an Indian family makes, yet the experience has remained largely unchanged. 30 Sundays has rebuilt the journey using AI while retaining human intervention where it matters,” said Anant Vidur Puri, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.
30 Sundays primarily caters to Indian outbound leisure travellers, initially targeting couples before expanding into families. The company is betting on rising outbound travel from India, supported by growing disposable incomes, easing visa norms and improving international connectivity.
